去年九月，第一屆台灣聯合國先生小姐代表台灣青年赴紐約聯合國大廈替「台灣入聯」發聲，獲得廣大迴響。2008年，雖然入聯公投未達門檻，而且油價又不斷上漲，台灣之光王建民也受傷，但是台灣有一群人依舊堅持要到紐約的聯合國大廈前告訴全世界，台灣要加入聯合國，我們不想當國際孤兒！我們也將選出第二屆台灣聯合國先生小姐再次代表台灣青年赴紐約展現「永不妥協」的台灣魂！
「台灣聯合國先生小姐」即日起接受甄選報名，當選者（各一位）將獲得「台灣聯合國協進會」補助九天2/3團費（約九萬台幣，當選者只負擔兩萬元），入聯宣達團出發時間9/12~9/20，行程︰紐約、華盛頓DC，費城，洛杉磯。
參選資格：
一、年齡十八歲至三十五歲以下，大專院校（含以上）在學青年或社青。
二、具基本之英語會話能力。
三、認同台灣、支持以台灣名義加入聯合國。
四、參與8/2~8/3「台灣UN青年研習營」結業
